Hi, I'm Juliana!
Argentine born, raised in Patagonia, and a citizen of the world for the past 17 years.A few things about me: I've traveled to 57 countries. I'm a third-generation Pilates instructor. I'm a certified dive master. I've lived in an ashram, sat a Vipassana retreat, and built more than one business from scratch, including one that grew to five employees.Right now, I'm completing my ICF Level 2 Life Coach certification through The Life Coaching Academy Australia, on top of nearly 20 years of hands-on experience helping people build healthier, more aligned lives through movement, wellbeing, and coaching.
A few more things about me
- Argentine and Spanish, with Spanish roots and Spanish nationality
- Dancing runs in the family, my mother and grandmother were both dance teachers, and I've been dancing since I was a little girl. Flamenco, tango, salsa, anything with rhythm and roots, especially the styles that connect back to my Spanish side
- I'm happiest close to the ocean
- I was obsessed with diving for a big stretch of my life, I've logged more than 1,500 dives
- I'm very social. I make friends everywhere I go, over coffee, over a shared trip, wherever, and many of those friendships have lasted for years
- I love dressing up and fashion, I'm spontaneous, and I travel light
- After 14 years focused on exploring Asia, this past year I've been traveling around Africa, discovering a whole new continent
- I'm currently starting a new seasonal project back home, a gastronomy garden by a lakeside beach in Patagonia.
The businesses I've built
I started my first Pilates studio in Argentina before I'd even graduated university, with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Teaching. I ran the studio in person for about a year, then moved to New Zealand, my first big leap into the international life I'd dreamed of, and kept running the studio remotely for another two years before selling it. The people I sold it to went on to run it successfully for more than ten years afterward.Since then, I've built several other things from the ground up:- My Pilates studio in Argentina (started pre-graduation, sold on moving abroad)
- Pilates Link, a business supporting Pilates teachers and wellness practitioners with continuing education and marketing, which grew to five employees at its peak
- A Pilates jewellery line, a creative side project blending design and movement
- Real estate investments in Bali and Patagonia, Argentina, including two cottages back home
The places I've called home
Patagonia is where I grew up, to middle-class parents who rarely travelled and didn't have the means to. Seeing the world was my biggest childhood dream.Since leaving, I've lived in eight countries across South America, Central America, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, including five years in Hong Kong and, most recently, five years in Bali. Fourteen of my last seventeen years overseas have been spent in Asia alone. And I've travelled to 57 countries and counting.I know what it takes to land somewhere new, how to settle in, find your people, build a life. But I've also learned that the hardest move isn't always the one abroad, it's often coming home. If that's the transition you're facing, I understand it from the inside.
The things I've learned and lived
Some of the experiences that have shaped me most:- Earning my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Teaching, in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina
- Training in contemporary Pilates across Argentina, New Zealand, and Singapore, then in classical Pilates, third generation, in the lineage direct from Joseph Pilates, in Hong Kong
- Becoming a ski instructor in Bariloche, Patagonia, Argentina
- Training as a dive master in Koh Tao, Thailand
- Trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in the Himalayas, Nepal
- Becoming a certified Thai massage practitioner in Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Completing yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India
- Living in an ashram in Rishikesh, India
- Sitting a ten-day Vipassana retreat in Malaysia
- Becoming Reiki Level 1 and Crystal Energy Healer certified, in Patagonia, ArgentinaSome of these started as dreams I didn't know how to reach. Moving to Bali was one of them. Owning a piece of land back in Patagonia was another. I have both now.
